Birthday Contest

Moms Birthday is coming up.
We lost her quite a few years ago, but she is still so much a part of our lives & always will be.
My sister Paula & I have celebrated her Birthday every year and this year we have decided to do a contest that reflects our wonderful Mother.
Mom got up at 4:30 AM almost every day. She loved being up in the quite peaceful house while the rest of us where snoozing away.
She would make herself a cup of tea and sit in her robe at the big wooden desk Dad made for her, writing.
Mom wrote in her journals every day. Would write letters and send pictures to family & Friends.
She took a few writing courses. We treasure the writing she left behind for us.
I am going to give away a stationary set on Mom's Birthday, January, 9th.
Any one who comments on this post will be entered in the drawing and if you put a link to my blog on yours you will get another entry into the contest.
Hop on over to Paula's blog www.onarainynight.blogspot.com and see what she is giving away.

So sweet that you and Paula are doing this! A lovely picture-thinking of your mother writing at her desk.

Hello, I came over from Paula's place. I love what you're doing to celebrate your Mother's Birthday. My own sweet Mamma has been gone since July 2005. I miss her.
