Turn The page Tuesday

My "Turn The Page Tuesday" book this month is  "At Home on Ladybug Farm" by Donna Ball
I picked this book up in the bargain bin at Barns & Nobles, not realizing it is the second in a series.
Because I didn't read the first book I think I was missing a few things. This book has a good story line but seems to be lacking in some things (again could be because I didn't read the first book.

A year after taking the chance of a lifetime, Cici, Lindsay, and Bridget are still trying to make a home for themselves on the newly renovated Ladybug Farm. Life in the Shenandoah Valley is picturesque, but filled with unexpected trials--such as the introduction of two young people into the ordered life the women have tried to build for themselves.

As the walls of the old house reveal their secrets and the lives of those who have gone before begin to unfold, the cobbled-together household starts to disintegrate into chaos. And when one of their members is threatened by a real crisis, they must all come together to fight for the roots they've laid down, the hopes they share, and the family they've become.....

Happy reading!

Ha -- I do that all the time. This book sounds good. I read a series about quilting that took place in the Shenandoah Valley. The descriptions were lovely. It sounds like beautiful scenery.

It sounds like a good read to me... thanks for letting us know that there is a "prequel". I've done that a few times too!

I love the cover and would have picked that one up too! The description sounds really good and maybe would be better reading the first one...well, first!

Sounds like the kind of book that would be good for some front porch reading time - will you be reading the first one this month?? :)

Hi,
Every month I look at the Turn the page Tuesday blog posts. I love what every one reads. Your pick looks interesting and I have gone on my library website and reserved it. Thank you
