Turn The Page Tuesday with Alice Hoffman

I just finished reading these two Alice Hoffman books. They where both very good & both about peoples life's abruptly changing.

First I read "Incantation" It is a young reader book & very mind opening about a young Jewish girl who's world is turned around when her best friend betrays her family.

I Thought I knew the world.
I thought I knew myself.
I thought I knew my dearest friend.
But I knew nothing at all.

After reading "Incantation" I picked a book "Blue Diary" off my shelve that I had picked up at a thrift store quite awhile back & got part way through this novel when I realized this was the same author that had written the book I had just finished.

In "Blue Diary" When Ethan Ford fails to show up for work on a brilliant summer morning, none of his neighbors would guess that for more than thirteen years he has been running from the past. His true nature has been locked away, as hidden as his real identity. But sometimes locks spring open, and the devastating truth of Ethan's history shatter the small-town peace of Monroe, affecting family and friends alike.

This story tells how this mans past sins change his wife and sons life's forever. Can they ever forgive him and does he deserve forgiveness. read this book to find out.

Ooooh - those both sound interesting. More added to the list! I'm glad the one you pulled off your shelf wasn't a dud and worth waiting for.
