Student Stacey

I'm a student. I don't know if I'm a very good student. It's been so many years since I went to school. I think I've forgotten how to study.
The first of January I transferred from housekeeping to activities at the long term care center. You are required to get your CNA so I'm taking class's. It's been a little hard toggling between class & working but the stress will all be worth it in the end.
I defiantly like the activities position. Working directly with the residents and helping keep them active. They love to play Bingo and dice. We exercise and bake with them.
Last week we made bread in the bread machine with a couple of ladies.
Clara did not think that was the proper way to make bread. She had baked many loaves of bread in her life and this machine was just to modern for her.
I will be taking my Certified Nurses Assistant test the second week in February.
Hopefully I pass.

My friend took that class last year. She loves working with the older generation.
I'm a student, too. But my classes will take 2 years to complete.
Good luck with your tests!!!

I was a social worker in a nursing home for 4 1/2 years. I loved it (most of the time!). I bet the residents just love you ... even if you bring in those new fangled machines ;-)

good luck on your test!

I went back for a dew classes. Studying is different than when that's all you had to do, except maybe a part time job. But I was driven and my grades were way higher.
Good luck. You will be able to see a return soon, that will help.

Hey Stacey: Going back to school -- that's what I need to do! If you enjoy the work, I am sure you'll do well.

I received the lovely pillow today. It is such a generous size! Thank you so much. I think it will go quite nicely on the guest bed with the white chenille bedspread.

I am so proud of you for jumping in to those classes - it will be so worth it in the long run! You might just like studying so much you will sign up for more when you are done with these ones!!!
