Winter Storm

We had another winter storm. Hopefully our last for this year.
This heavy wet snow snapped power lines & toppled poles.

We do have a wood stove, so I cooked an old fashioned dinner of scrambled eggs with sausage & potatoes mixed in and a pan of fry bread.

We ate by oil lamps

Hate when the power goes out, but it sure is nice when you still have a stove that is usuable for the cooking. We finally have a generator even though we have to hook it up to the big tractor to run. Makes you appreciate the power we have. Happy Easter.

I think evenings like that are fun, as long as they don't stretch into to many days. Hope your storm is gone and spring will be at your house shortly.

You won the Story Time Stitches prize package! Yay!!

We did a generator several years ago, too. Old trees, old poles, old lines. Sounds like a good adventure. I'm ready for spring, but I usually like a good snow day or two to 'veg out'.

Sometimes that's fun for a day or two. But after that....forget it!
I hope it has melted off and the power is back on by now.
