Grandmas Pancakes

The heady sent of pancakes wafting from the kitchen brings back fond memories of Grandma Simmons house.

Us kids would wander out sleepy eyed in the morning to the smell of pancakes, coffee and people chattering away in Grandmas cheery kitchen.

She would make buckwheat flapjacks with ears and noses, Micky mouse and bunny shaped, to the delight of the grand children.

This was a fabulous way to start the day.

It sure was! I loved those buckwheat pancakes. It's funny how things smelled different at Grandma's house.

I think that is one thing that I should do and don't and that is make breakfast. Here everybody is always going in opposite directions and it is hard to actually get a family breakfast together. Looks good though!
