Dawn stirred up a batch of her famous oatmeal raisin cookies.
While they where baking, her friend Kylen turned the radio way up loud. It was playing early 80's high school reunion tunes.
I herd the girls saying "We should have been teenagers in the eighty's. We would have fit in, in the eighty's."
I piped up and said "I'm from the eighty's."
"Oh Mom, you where a cowgirl."
"Really, if I was just a cowgirl, how come I know all of these songs."
To a fourteen and fifteen year old the eighty's was ages ago, but to me it seems like just a few years in the past.

The 80's were just a short time ago!
It was just yesterday. Wasn't it??!
Pass the cookies...
How I long for the 80's again. Just yesterday and so long ago, too!
Hey, pass the cookies this way, too.
Ahhh ... the 80's - big hair, electric clothing, and roller skates - that's the 80's to me!
Those cookies look delish!
I think the 80's are on our minds because it was a much safer time for us and reflection is healthy, I still feel like I blinked and I am here in 2009...Thanks for your visit and I love that cute little egg... How is everything out WEST?
My 17 year old niece thinks 80's are oldies, Oatmeal rasin coolies and some Joan Jett with a side of Men at work would be great right about now...:-)

We always seem to think we would be better somewhere else. In the 80's, I thought I didn't fit in either! Cookies do make everything better, though. Did then, still do now!!!!!
