Meet Andy & Abby. They have been best buddies for years.
Andy is really starting to show his age. He is over 20 years old which is ancient for a horse. He is a gentle Tennessee walker, tall & slender.
Since I am a short girl, I have to lead him up against a fence or a dirt bank to get on. He stands perfectly still.
Abby is what you call an easy keeper. She eats constantly & is fat as a pig. She loves to get scratched & brushed.
We don't use these horses much anymore. It is much easier to hop on a four wheeler!

It seems that I can't ever remember you not having Andy. He used to be young and full of spunk, just like the rest of us...

I wanted to leave you a post to prove that I am reading your blog. Ha, Ha! Unlike Paula, I don't remember a horse, but then again it could be a senior moment as I am gonna be the ripe old-age of 26 next month!!!! :-)

Welcome to the blogging world. I love to read about you and your family. I miss all of you so much.
nice that horses are allowed to retire also...
they are beautiful horses...they don't look old to me... but then no one looks old to me any more...
Abby and Andy looked well taken care of and well loved. I'm sure they are enjoying their retirement years.
Blessings,
Mary
Are Abby and Andy all you have left of the old horse herd? Andy always was a sweet boy, but I remember Abby having quite a bit of spunk. Crabby Abby, I beleive Willie called her fairly often!
