Treasures in the woods
I like to go treasure hunting out in the woods. Last week I found a buffalo skull lying out under the trees. It had been there for quite some time. Not a speck of tissue was left on the bones, just a few bird droppings and debris from the woods.
I packed my new found treasure home. Submerged it in a sink of bleach water, dug out my paints and got to work turning the skull into a piece of art.
Thank you dear buffalo for letting me find your final resting place under the trees.

That is so cool. You did an awesome job - what a great find!
Way cool, Stacey! I love how you painted the bufalo walking through the summertime grass!
Oh my gosh! I love this! You did an incredible job. Yay!
That's a pretty neat way to make a decoration out of a buffalo skull. I would never have thought of that. When I read your comment and then, clicked over to your blog, I was wondering who do I know that might know someone in North Dakota that is into blogging? Then when I read through some of your posts, I got to thinking of Paula -made me feel pretty good when I saw you mention that you are sisters! Now I have 3 sisters on my reader! Come back and visit again, any time!
What an artist you are!!!
Love this idea.
We collect things like this also. Currently my son has a cow skull and I have a turtle shell.
