This is a documentary written by a wife & mother (Tay) who moved to Anchorage during the 60's.
It has some very interesting facts & stories about the struggles & survival of living in the north country & through some of the worst earth quakes to rock the state.
In 1960 Tay and Lowell Thomas, Jr., having lived for ten years in suburban New Jersey, packed their two small children and over-sized dog into a car and moved 5,000 miles to Anchorage, Alaska. This book is Tay Thomas's highly personal and entertaining account of their adventures and everyday life in the vast, unspoiled land that became their home.
